By what my book says I would not just dump in any kind of hydraulic oil. I would search the internet to find the proper hydraulic oil.

The service manual I have as well as the Owners manual I downloaded call for 10w30 diesel engine oil for the hydraulic system (10 gal). This sounds strange to me. Has anyone run. Obviously your park brake seal is bad and is leaking oil into your axle housing. I don't have a good source of parts, but if you Google "gehl dl-6h axle seal" and you will see several hits. ISZ Skid steers are normally a pain to work on, especially the hydraulics , they are in the worst area to get to. The price per hour and kit are close - shop work here is around $ 120 per. hr. The majority of all leaks on these are o-rings , sometimes you can get by with just tightening if it didnt come too loose and cut the o-ring.
