The wiring harness for that engine is part # 3287689 shown in diagram below. . I'm working on my skid steer with a timing belt driven diesel and I don't understand this. The crank pulley is at TDC compression stroke, the valves are shut, and the engine runs (low power under load, exhaust smells a little raw). Here's the problem, the timing marks on the Cam pulley are 180 degrees off. How can the engine run? So the ether goes bang when the piston is half way up and already at gasoline engine compression.. this massive explosion is fighting the piston up to TDC, which is the slowing or even stopping of the starter that you are experiencing. Scored an almost brand new TDO4 mitsu turbo from a cat skid steer engine (mitsubishi power)...wondering how this might work for my TDI M...the kicker is that it has no wastegate or blow off...so does this thing just run max boost all the time at throttle?

The engines in the Caterpillar Skid Steer Loaders and Multi Terrain Loaders range from a 49-horsepower (37-kilowatt), naturally aspirated diesel engine to a 74-hp (55-kW), turbocharged diesel engine. This power is transmitted to a set of hydraulic pumps bolted directly to . At the core of a skid steer or track loader, there’s a fiery diesel power plant pumping energy to all of the machine’s many wheels, tracks, loader arms, attachments and other functions.
