We still need to check the starter solenoid first which will likely be back in the engine bay somewhere.
Hey All, Long story.GEHL with Deutz diesel engine that hadn't been started in 2 years due to idiot operators causing much damage which was partially repaired by a local shop before they went under. The oil pan (new) and crankshaft (used) were replaced and I was able to finish putting the engine back together. Intermittent issue. Gas engine, electronic ignition. Starter works, but engine won't fire. Once it starts, I am able to restart it multiple times that day. Carburetor replaced, no change. Rotor replaced no change. Thanks for any suggestions I have a 4625 Gehl ----lately it will not always click the start light on after the glow plugs cycle. It will not crank the engine at all . Turning the key to start does nothing..dead.Customer: my gehl 6640 will not start. when I turn the key on the control panel lights up like normal, but when I turn the key to start it nothing happens. Is it fixed? It's a safety switch. Had the same issue w my gehl. I'll tell you more if you are still not running.
