The Smallest Mini Excavators on the Market and How to Pick One
Has anyone bought from miniquipped.com ? They're prices are considerably lower than other sites and I'm guessing it's a scam. You can't pick up direct and the shipping and handling takes weeks, long.I was looking at these mini excavators on ali Express and some of the prices seem ridiculously low. I don't need much, just as good as a man with a shovel can do. Has anyone purchased these? I just bought a 1 ton chinese mini excavator today at an online auction. I have watched a bunch of videos and they seem to hold up quite well and have a briggs and straton engine which is easy to get parts for. I'm still reading through this whole thread - we just bought the attached photo (a 2024 MIVA VA13C 1-ton) at auction, and it seems plenty powerful for our 3/4 acre yard and all the projects we have planned. But, it's almost rolled a few times. Besides putting the backfill blade down, what else has anyone done to improve stability?
expects to allow time for inspections, or is using an auction format that has a set ending date. I have bought or sold 2 cars, one tractor, and my CADDigger on eBay, without problems. I am >20y eBay user. Eventually, I gave up and decided to get a machine from China, new. What sealed it for me is that if I use I have been toying with the idea of buying one of those tiny, gas-powered Chinese mini-ex's. They look look a lot of fun for relatively little money. I already own a Kubota BX25D, and I have put over 1600 hours on it.
Just curious if anyone has experience operating mini-excavators. I've added this photo as a potential model. Rental rates would likely rack up quickly given the amount of work I see ahead. My thought is to purchase used, work it a few years, then re-sell. This particular brand seems to have a lengthy history, modest price, and some availability.
