You should be able to pull it open and wire it in place to get it to start, not familiar with it so I don't know if it has control lockouts, but if it doesn't you can move it to a more favorable place to work on it, if need be.
I have a 2006 jd325 straight skid steer that started off a few months ago by just sputtering at idle and when you'd give it a little throttle it would level out, then it began to not start due to a pressure actuated fitting on the block for the return line failing, I would start it with vice grips on the return line until I got the new fitting . No load, I can start it, runs fine, lift/tilt works normally but arms don't lock for forward & reverse.
