Salesman said it's normal since it wasn't running full throttle, had it at half throttle at time. I'm new to skid steers, so I'm not sure what is normal. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Check inside the hydraulic filter for signs of metal/debris indicating a pump failure. Be sure that the oil level is full. Check the oil temp after an hour of use, hydraulic oil (aw46 or equivelant) is ok to 200 -250 degrees but over that number would not be the best case for your pump. Engine oil does not do well over 200 degrees long term.
