I'm looking to get your thoughts on what is the best overall skid loader snow pusher for the money. We have ran 10' ProTech and Arctic. Not a big fan of the ProTech and the Arctic is a nice pusher and scrapes good but is pricey and has lot's of moving parts. I've heard good things about the Boss snow pushers but only in the larger loader models. Im going to be buying a new snow pusher for my skid steer. Its a 2013 CAt 259D ctl. I currently run a protech 8' with a rubber cutting edge. We use it for a number of properties. Im thinking about switching to a 8' metal cutting edge pusher. Ive only used metal edges on snow plows for trucks, never a snow pusher. These are true skid steer tires with the proper weight rating for the weight of the machine, so you can use them year round without worry of overloading them. The third option which some guys are doing is picking up old 16" truck rims from the salvage yard and fabricating the correct bolt pattern to mount on the skid, then buying 16" truck .
The 773 will have no problem pushing a 8' skid steer. A 10' backhoe model is a whole lot heavier and sticks out futher sinces your are mounting it to the bucket not the skid plate. Which is reducing the skid loaders lifting capacity.
Just looking for some advice for purchasing a box pusher for my skidsteer. I have a cat 246b (7100lbs). I have mostly used it for pulling parking stalls/small areas for the bigger loaders but it looks like some medium/smaller lots might come through this year that are a pain to do with the larger loaders.

I was wondering is a 10' snow pusher too big for the 246c, would 8' be better? I want to be as efficient as possible, but I also know bigger is not always better.

Also seems to be a wide variety of snow buckets. Makes sense to have the see through window on those. Also, I guess a snow pusher would save a dump cycle vs. a bucket.
