Bought a brand new 299d3 with prinoth mulching head. Machine ran great for 2-3 hours and now won’t rev past 1200 rpm. It seems as if it’s electronically limited. Any idea on what would cause this? The specialist that is doing the 2nd procedure on my back is on holidays for July. He is the top one of only 2 for the entire province. I wouldn't want anyone else. It isn't good even for non forestry stuff. I've now run the 299d3 for about 4+hrs and it seems to be slightly less obnoxious with respect to pump noise however the chatter issue remains (I question why CAT doesn't simply add this 1U-9891 additive during manufacturing if it helps these larger builds).
