I also recently replaced my tracks on my Taki. Must have bought the tracks from the same Solideal supplier. I was told the same by the saleman. I have my doughts. But I am curious to give them a try. As I posted before. I've tried screws in my old tracks. They did'nt make any difference. Nor did they last. They either ripped out or snapped off. Those screw-in carbide studs look like they would work pretty well in SS or tractor or ATV tires and rubber CTL tracks. UTI sells them in Canada, while Bair Products and SkidSteer Solutions sells in US. AMEN to that. I have only run skid steers a few times, and I was VERY slow, because I was being cautious. I hated every second using the foot controls. It is very hard IMO going from running an excavator, or backhoe, to a skid steer. I had a little bucking incident on one while packing down a dumpster. I didn't lose it, but came close. 2000 New holland skid steer LS180 with 10' snow pusher. Asphalt construction by summer. Save Share .

Making the truck purdy, of course. Light bars, beacons, hide-aways, all sorts of stuff. They were the only ones I came across with various equipment at the show in one place. Plow-Tech had some pieces there. I'll pick up an 8 or 9 foot reversible unit for the skid steer—if I can drum up some business for next year, and it snows. The cable-lug and the surface it hugs must be clean bare metal, not white/green/black corruption. Wire-brush and old knife are your tools. When clean, ideally you'd glop a little grease on the surface and more around the edge to delay later troubles; but you need to plow NOW you can put-together dry and do the grease some warm clear day.
