Hello there just picked up a hydra mac skid steer, is anyone an expert on these old skid steers? im having an issue it seems to be pulling to the right when starting her up, occasionally I can find neutral on the t bar but it will randomly sound like grinding gears and want to go its own way and jump back and forth. It has a hydraulic pressure track adjuster system with a small knob type valve that adds pressure to the idler hydraulic cylinders to tension the tracks. Even though it's just got that little 22hp engine in it, I was surprised at how well it moved around and the odd T-handle controls seem like they won't be all .

At this point I'm kinda regretting buying the machine not because it weak, far from it.Don"t know who bought what, or when or why, but if you"ll Google Hydra Mac the first hits are a couple Iowa outfits; one sells and services, and wants to buy them, the other says it"s the biggest US dealer with the biggest parts inventory.further down may be some closer outfits. Hydra-Mac was a very heavy duty machine, they built the Gehl and International machines in the '70's and early 80's. They used Isuzu Diesels in the 80's and you should be able to get parts for the Isuzu if you search it out by the model.
