The rod linkage is free flowing without hicups so i feel the rod is not the issue. The only way i got it to idle semi correctly was to push the governor arm as far away from carb, as well as extend the linkage to it in throttle closed or away from carb. The 6x4 I recently purchased had the throttle rigged and I am trying to reconnect the governor arm. I bought and installed a new throttle cable along with the spring and linkage from the throttle to the governor arm. The result was the linkage failing on the aux hydraulic foot control. This is how I fixed. The friction comes from adjusting the spring tension on the bolt that attaches the throttle lever to the main frame.
